Eligibility Criteria for SBI Clerk 2024
To be eligible for the SBI Clerk 2024 exam, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Final-year students are also eligible, provided they can submit proof of graduation by December 31, 2024.
- Age Limit: The age of the candidate should be between 20 and 28 years as of April 1, 2024. Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms.
- Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens.
Selection Process of SBI Clerk 2024
The selection process for the SBI Clerk 2024 exam consists of three stages:
- Preliminary Examination: This is a single-stage exam conducted online. It consists of 100 questions covering English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability. The duration of the exam is 1 hour, and there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.
- Main Examination: Candidates who qualify the Preliminary Examination will be called for the Main Examination. This exam consists of 200 questions covering General/Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude. The duration of the exam is 2 hours, and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
- Language Proficiency Test: Candidates who qualify the Main Examination will have to take a Language Proficiency Test in the specified local language of the state/union territory where they have applied. This test will be conducted after the Main Examination but before joining the bank.
Application Process
Candidates can apply online for the SBI Clerk 2024 exam through the official SBI website. The online application process will be active from December 17, 2024, to January 7, 2025. Here are the steps to apply:
- Visit the official SBI website and go to the “Careers” section.
- Click on the “Apply Online” link and register yourself by providing basic details.
- Create a unique login ID and password.
- Log in to your account and complete the application form by filling in all the required details.
- Upload the necessary documents, including a recent photograph and signature, in the specified format.
- Pay the application fee online. The fee is Rs 750 for General, OBC, and EWS categories, while candidates from SC, ST, PwBD, and ESM/DESM categories are exempted from paying the fee.
